University Holds 2011 Fall Commencement Ceremony

The Saga University Fall Commencement Ceremony was held on Thursday, September 22nd at the Faculty of Science and Engineering Building. In all, 64 degrees were conferred, including 11 bachelor’s, 23 master’s, and 30 doctoral degrees.

Of the 64 graduating seniors, 26 were international students from nine countries, including China, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Saga University President Dr. Takao Hotokebuchi offered words of encouragement to the students and said, “I hope that all of you will take pride in and cherish what you’ve learned at Saga University. I also hope that you will develop and utilize your knowledge and skills for the world, for your mother countries, and for your local communities.” Following the president’s message, Mr. Ji Zhanfeng from China, awarded a doctorate by the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, offered words of appreciation on behalf of all the recipients.
