Ten International Students Awarded Saga University Scholarships

Posted on December 2, 2011

Saga University Scholarships were awarded to ten privately funded international students on Monday, October 17th. These scholarships are designated for privately funded international students who are not receiving any other scholarship aid and provide 20,000 yen financial assistance for ten months. The aim of the assistance is to limit the financial burden on students so as to allow them to devote their full attention to academic study.

University President Dr. Takao Hotokebuchi said in his encouragement speech that the scholarships were awarded as a result of their efforts. He hoped that the students would continue to apply themselves in their studies.

Mr. Zhang Xiaobo, a 4th year student from China in the Faculty of Agriculture, offered words of appreciation on behalf of all the recipients. He said that the scholarships would be a financial and emotional encouragement to the recipients. He also said that he personally would put even greater effort into his studies.
