Posted on September 30, 2010

The 2010 Completion Ceremony of the SPACE program (Saga University Program for Academic Exchange) was held on August 20th at University Hall. SPACE is a one-year exchange program designed for international students from any overseas universities that have an inner-university agreement with Saga University. SPACE accepts about 20 students every year in October. This year 19 students from countries, such as France, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, completed the program.

President Dr. Hotokebuchi handed certification to each student, offered encouragement, and made a congratulatory speech. In his message, the president said he hoped that students would work as a bridge between their country and Japan for further mutual friendships even after they return to their home country. After the president’s message, each student expressed their gratitude in fluent Japanese and the ceremony closed in a friendly mood.
