An excellent white light-emitting diode
A joint research group of the Synchrotron Radiation Application Research Center of Saga University and the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Technology has successfully demonstrated for the first time a white light-emitting diode (LED) with excellent color rendering using a new rare-earth-doped wide-bandgap oxide semiconductor material. A paper summarizing the results of this research has been published in Applied Physics Letters, an academic journal published by the American Institute of Physics.
