　佐賀大学は、４月２８日、律桂軍中国駐福岡総領事、党志勝領事、辛穎副領事、徐俊涛副領事ら５名による学長表敬を受けました。
　現在、本学は同国にある１２の大学と学術交流協定を締結しており、学術交流を通じて、教育研究力を向上させるとともに、将来を見据えた相互理解も深めています。また昨年、同館の教育担当辛穎副領事より、貴州民族大学との学術交流協定の調印式で両大学に対して挨拶をいただいており、本学と他の同国の大学との関係をより発展させることを目的として、訪問が実現したものとなりました。
　本学からは兒玉学長をはじめ、寺本国際担当理事や三島副学長（国際担当）が出迎え、兒玉学長より歓迎の挨拶の後、律桂軍総領事より、今後の友好関係が続くよう、同館としての支援の継続が述べられました。その後、兒玉学長より有田焼の飾壺を記念品として贈呈し、記念撮影を経て、和やかに表敬訪問は終了しました。
　その後、一行は農学部の施設を見学し、鈴木農学部長が本学の特徴ある取り組みについて説明を行ったあと、農学部の関係者と懇談を行いました。訪問の最後に、同国からの留学生等と佐賀県日中友好協会の篠塚会長等も交えて、母語による和やかな懇談を行いました。
　本学としては、今回の訪問を機に、本学と同国の大学との学術交流がより一層発展するとともに、佐賀地域における友好、相互理解の促進も期待されるところです。

On April 28, Saga University received a courtesy call on the university president by five people, including Consul General of China in Fukuoka, Lu Guijun, Consul Dang Zhisheng, Vice Consul Xin Ying, and Vice Consul Xu Shuntao.

Currently, our university has academic exchange agreements with 12 universities in Guizhou, and through academic exchange, we are improving our educational and research capabilities and deepening mutual understanding with a view to the future. Last year, Mr. Xin Ying, Vice Consul for Education, delivered a speech to both universities at the signing ceremony of the academic exchange agreement with Guizhou Minzu University, and the visit was realized with the aim of further developing the relationship between our university and other universities in China.

After a welcoming speech by President Kodama, Consul General Lu Guijun expressed the Consulate General’s continued support for the continuation of friendly relations between the two institutions. Afterwards, President Kodama presented a decorative Arita-yaki porcelain pot as a commemorative gift, and after a commemorative photo session, the courtesy visit ended in a friendly atmosphere.

The group then toured the facilities of the Faculty of Agriculture, where Dean Suzuki, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, explained the unique initiatives of the university, and had a discussion with the officials of the Faculty of Agriculture. At the end of the visit, they had a friendly discussion in their native language with the foreign students and the president of the Saga Prefecture Japan-China Friendship Association, Mr. Shinozuka.

The university hopes that this visit will lead to further development of academic exchanges between the university and universities in the country, as well as the promotion of friendship and mutual understanding in the Saga region.
